Kitchener Junk Removal is a booking line. It is not a national franchise with a call centre, and it is not a directory that sells your phone number to a list of haulers who will all call you. It connects to one local, insured junk removal crew that works across the city — downtown and the ION corridor, the century-home streets around Victoria Park, Cedar Hill and the East Ward, the 1960s to 1980s suburbs through Stanley Park, Forest Heights, Country Hills and Rosemount, Doon and the college area, and the new builds in Huron Park and Doon South — plus Waterloo and Breslau.

Junk removal is a trade where the customer is usually standing in front of something they want gone and would rather not think about again. That attracts a particular kind of selling: a low number on the phone that grows once the truck is loaded, a disposal fee that appears on the invoice, a crew that takes the easy half and leaves the rest, and a load that goes wherever is closest rather than where it should. Anyone in Kitchener who has hired a hauler off a lawn sign has met at least one of those.

The point of this site is a straight line to a crew that looks at the job or your photos, gives a price before anything is loaded, does the carrying, sorts the metal, donations and hazardous waste out rather than dumping all of it, takes the remainder to the Region's waste site and pays the tipping fee inside the price you agreed to.

What we will not do: publish reviews we do not have, invent a rating or a star count, quote a fixed price on a website for a load nobody has seen, claim a franchise or certification we do not hold, or sell your phone number. This site is new. It says what it can do and nothing more.

What the crew handles

• Garage and basement cleanouts for downsizing, pre-sale and pre-renovation
• Renovation debris removal for homeowners and small contractors
• Hot tub removal after a licensed electrician disconnects it, and shed, gazebo, play structure and above-ground pool teardowns
• Student move-out pickups in April and August around Conestoga College and the university district

What it does not handle

Bin and dumpster rental is a different service: a container you fill yourself over time. Moving household goods to a new address intact is a moving company, with its own insurance. Hazardous waste — paint, solvents, fuel, propane, chemicals, asbestos, medical waste — goes through the Region of Waterloo's household hazardous waste program and never on the truck; the crew sets it aside and tells you where it goes. Electrical disconnection of hot tubs and gas disconnection of stoves and dryers are licensed trades regulated by the Electrical Safety Authority and the TSSA respectively, and the crew does neither. Curbside collection, bulky item rules and the Erb Street waste site are run by the Region of Waterloo; property standards by the City of Kitchener; workplace coverage through WSIB. You will be told when a job belongs to someone else rather than sold something that will not solve it.

How this works

When you call 226-457-4303 or send the form, your details go straight to the crew. For a single item or a small pile you get a price on the phone or from a photo. For a cleanout, someone comes and looks or works from your photos and gives you a written number. The crew arrives in the window, confirms the price before loading, does the carrying and sweeping, and hauls it all the same day under their own insurance and WSIB coverage. Your information is not sold, not shared with a list of competing haulers, and there is no markup added to your bill for the introduction.

What we won't do

• Publish reviews we didn't earn. When we have them, they'll be real ones with names.
• Quote a firm price before someone has seen the job.
• Send anyone into your property who we would not have in our own.
